Recently, the Minister of State for MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises), Giriraj Singh said that social harmony will not remain if the population of Hindus dwindles steadily. The media picked this byte on a slow day and made it a prime time debate asking whether this was a ‘communal’ statement.

This provides an opportunity to see why political correctness will be the decisive blow to Hindus and possibly wipe them out of the Indian map.
Saraswati/Sharada is no longer worshipped in Kashmir
When I was a kid I was taught a Shloka.
नमस्ते शारदे देवी काश्मीरपुरवासिनि
त्वामहं प्रार्थये नित्यं विद्यादानं च देहि मे ॥
Namaste Shaarade Devii Kaashmiira-Pura-Vaasini
Tvaam-Aham Praarthaye Nityam Vidyaa-Daanam Ca Dehi Me
The shloka means : ‘Salutations to Sharada devi , the resident of Kashmir. Bestow the gift of knowledge to me.’ But after the exodus day (January 19, 1990) there is no place for Sharada / Saraswati in the Kashmir valley. Hindu temples have been demolished and those who worship her been kicked out. They have still not returned to their homes. Is the demographics of the state and the treatment meted out to Hindus a coincidence?
You’d be joking if you can’t see the religious war that culminated in a matter of 600 years in the valley. Prior to Muslim rule in Kashmir since 14th century, the population in the valley was largely Hindu. Over a period of time, majority of the valley was converted and those who did not convert were kicked out.

The quote is most appropriate for all secular politicians including Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal. According to census 2011, 27% of the population in West Bengal follows Islam. However, in spite of Muslims being in a minority, the chief minister is more inclined to keep them in good humour rather than win the approval majority of the citizens in the state.
Her government ordered restrictions on immersion of Durga idols on October 1 last year as it would ‘clash’ with Muharram. The question is, will Muslims of West Bengal want a Hindu Chief minister named Mamata Banerjee once their population becomes more than 50% ? Will Hindus be allowed to live as freely as Muslims live in Bengal in future?
So what should Hindus do to prevent an impending obliteration?
Currently, the Hindus are confused like Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. They are unwilling to fight the destructive Islamist ideology and Christian missionaries in the name of ‘secularism’. The first step to be taken by Hindus is to stop believing in the false concept of ‘tolerance’ and ‘secularism’. The entire electorate must teach a lesson to all ‘secular’ parties to correct their stance on appeasement politics. That is happening to some extent already.
Hindus as a whole must realize that true social harmony and secularism will not come until Islamist ideologies prevalent in India are obliterated. There must be no state recognition for madrasas and Sharia law. A uniform civil code must be brought in as soon as possible. A lesson must be learnt from Australia where Sharia has not been recognised so far. The state must regulate madrasa education in order to make it compatible with modern democratic polity and human rights. This will be the starting process for weeding out all radical and communal ideologies that are presently existing in the Muslim community and increase chances of harmonious life in the society.
Christianity is also mounting a strategic onslaught on Hindu faith with foreign funding. Therefore, a strict law against conversions must be introduced. Conversions done by missionaries with money power must also be banned by law. It must be effectively implemented throughout the length and breadth of India.
Political will – need of the hour
Until and unless stark realities are accepted, there will be no possibility of a workable solution to the prevent another tragedy of Hindu obliteration as it has happened in Kashmir. Therefore we need politicians like Giriraj Singh who are not afraid to speak the reality as it is. The changes needed to safeguard Hinduism can be brought in within the framework of the existing constitution. Political will for bringing these changes is the need of the hour.
