Rs 200 cr scam behind Delhi’s odd-even scheme?

New Delhi, Dec 30: Bhartiya Aam Aadmi Parivar (BAAP), a break away group from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday alleged a Rs 200 crore scam behind the Arvind Kejriwal government’s odd-even scheme in the national capital.

Addressing a press conference here, BAAP leader Rudra Kumar alleged that a senior AAP leader took commissions from auto mobile companies for implementation of odd-even scheme in Delhi.

The BAAP leader claimed to have a CD, in which the AAP leader can be heard seeking commission from auto mobile company.

The BAAP leader further claimed that the fund raised by AAP will be used during the upcoming Punjab assembly elections.

Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court on Wednesday asked the Arvind Kejriwal government why women and two-wheelers have been exempted from the odd-even traffic rule starting January 1.

Seeking a response from the government, the court said it will hear the matter next on January 6.

The Delhi government decided to drastically restrict the number of cars on the roads after repeated warnings from the judiciary about the soaring pollution levels. The Delhi High Court said the city had become akin to a “gas chamber”.
