Understanding the pancha mahabhootas (five elements)

Understanding the pancha mahabhootas (five elements)

As it is always said that we and the entire cosmos is made of 5 elements that are Space (Akash), Wind (Vayu), Fire (agni),Water (Jal), Earth (Prithvi). The knowledge of these elements is very essential for diagnosis of all the problems in life whether it is related to body ailments, mind related issues , financial or relationship issues or even the spiritual aspects of life. Imbalance of one or more elements causes problems in one’s life and by balancing these elements these problems can be resolved. Let us understand the basic attributes of these elements.

Space (Akash) – The basic attributes of Space element is non-resistance and it also defines the gap(space) between two things. There should be a perfect Space maintained between our Joints, relationship, thoughts etc. If due to any circumstances the Space reduces between the joints, joints will resist and thus will cause the joints pain. If the Space reduces in thoughts, it is even more dangerous and causes anxiety disorder, insomnia, violent and irritative behavior. When there is no Space given in a Relationship, what happens to that relation, everybody knows…

Wind (Vayu) – The wind element is unstable(movement), cold and dry. There should be a perfect flow of wind in life. If the wind increases it may cause Parkinson, twitching of muscles, unstable relationship, flickering mind. And if the wind reduces it may result in lack of creative ideas, no bowel movement, low blood pressure, laziness and life goes at a very low pace. At workplace there is very less movement of the goods and less footfall will be the result.

Fire (Agni) – Most important attribute of Fire is Heat which make the things mature, helps in melting and purification. Fire has the power to transform. It transform solid into liquid, and liquid into gas. Balanced Fire can melt the cysts of ovary, fibroids of uterus, oesteophytes of joints and spine. But if the fire increases it may result in burning in chest(acidity), dark urine with burning, urticaria, Anger, aggression etc. And if the Fire reduces it causes lack of appetite with weight increase, high cholesterol level, diabetes, lack of creativity, and even warmth would be lost in a relation.

Water (Jal) – The main attribute of Water is coldness. Water also helps to lubricate and have a cohesive properties. Water is also highly adjustable and can be poured in any container and it takes its shape. Dry skin or burning anywhere in the body can be treated by enhancing the Water element. Excess of water anywhere in the body or organ causes swelling. Water element is very essential in all relationships as all the adjustments and attachments are its main attributes.

Earth (Prithvi) – Anything Solid is Earth. Earth is stable, heavy and rigid. Earth has the Power to hold/stop. When hairs are falling, teeth are weak, bones become brittle, bleeding doesn’t stop, unstable relations/Job and if person is not gaining weight, Earth element has to be increased to resolve all these matters. But if the weight is excess, stool is hard, nodes or tumors are formed in the body, it requires to reduce Earth element.

So if one has a mastery over this subject can help himself, his/her family and the society by using any of the therapy – Acupressure, Reiki, Vastu, Colour Therapy etc.
