Age Old Custom of Spiritual Awakening

Spiritual awakening is a quest that all of us is seeking. Ever since the ancient period, people seem to be in pursuit for a divine unification and enlightenment. There are different age-old rituals carried out by different communities of people throughout the world. Indigenous ethnicity that are still present until now shows us a peek of how historic people pursuit on having a more intense understanding of the earth and the people.

However, customs are considered to be of ancient-world and not recognized in our present times. It is blown off as an illogical, superstitious and old fashioned act. The religious organizations have absolutely turned down these customs, quoting them as questionable acts and criticized by the religious organizations. By means of these customs, people get to comprehend and journey in the direction of spiritual awakening.

In the old times, there were secret schools dedicated in finding and researching the secrets of life and as a result,  reaching some facets of spirituality. These educational institutions prospered in Egypt, Tibet and Persia.

Age-old Egyptians have toning of unique chants and sounds which took place throughout the night time in distinct places like the holy man-made body of water and the top secret area underneath the Great Sphinx. These chanting and sounds energize a part of the brain that can open up the brain to universal energy and electrical stimulation. This could develop or release your intuitive gifts and expertise. Once it has been opened, more intuitive and spiritual gifts will be encountered by the person. Gifts would consist of things like intuition, creative imagination, clairvoyant skills, and emphatic capabilities.

Apart from that historical Egypt acknowledges the end of the year as the time of reckoning, representation and engendering on the way to spiritual enlightenment. Ushet Rekhat or Worshipping the Mother starts off with a meditation practice which enhance the realizing and dedication of the follower. Meditation would also attract knowledge and well being to those who share the practice.

Homa is an Indian age-old fire practice which is done with the purpose of encouraging you to have good human relationships, find a spouse, have kids and even clear away evil karma or unfavorable factors in a horoscope.

In Buddhist and Hindu ways of life, tantra is used to convey and enhance spirituality. Tantra is not quite a custom but are rites that preserve spiritual core. This has been used in age-old India to attain spiritual enlightenment and progression. Currently, Tantra has developed into a sexual/spiritual occurrence. Sad to say, the practice which is used to be a journey to awakening is now utilized for sexual perversion and spread among pornography and prostitution.

Early Iran also has a distinctive way of seeking spiritual awakening and enlightenment. To attain awakening, it is essential to achieve spiritual perfection and later on on immortality of the soul. Spiritual strength is also essential in realizing God.

In Tibet, strangely enough the creation of the thangkas paintings is thought to lead to acquiring attitudes like peacefulness, patience, persistence, attention, self-development and spiritual enlightenment. Thangka paintings are identical to the art of pata chitra, which is very much known in India since 1st century. The age-old practices are still being used till today.

Regardless of whether these customs are legitimate and appropriate until now, most of the local communities who have started off these customs are still exercising and believing them until now. Spiritual awakening is not only attainable by going through different customs among different areas, this self-communication should start from the person looking for spiritual awakening.
